Life Story for
Donald Francis Cruze, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather left to be with his Lord and Savior on April 16, 2018. He was 92 years old. We know that he was welcomed at Heaven’s gate.
Don was born in November, 1925 in Hollister, California to Frank and Eva Cruze. In 1958 Don and his wife Erelda moved to Reseda and raised their 3 children Donna, Mark and Michael. They were blessed with 43 years of marriage.
Don is a war veteran. He served our country during World War II and the Army Air Coprs as a mechanic for the C 46 cargo plane. During the Korean War he served in the Air Force as a mechanic for the B29 bomber which he was stationed in Japan. After the war, Don met his loving wife Erelda in Hollister. They traveled around the county for his job for the next six years starting in Glendale, California, Yuma, Arizona, Tacoma, Washington, Myrtel Beach, South Carolina then settled in Reseda, California. He worked for North American Aviation as a field representative. He then worked for Rocketdyne then Pacific Continental Engines where he then retired.
Don was an active member at St. Catherine Church in Reseda where he served as a usher. Don was active in Boy Scouts for many years even when his own boys were out of scouting. He loved to take his family camping and exploring to the great outdoors. He loved his family vacations. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by; daughter Donna ( husband Ray), son Mark , daughter-in-law Grazie, son Michael (wife Lori), His 5 grandchildren, Jennafer, Allan, Joshua, Kristine and Jessica . His 3 great-grandchildren Brayden, Ashlynn and Ryker.
A Rosary will be held on Sunday April 22, 2018 at Lorenzen Angeleno Mortuary at 4pm
Services will be held on Monday April 23rd, 2018 at St. Catherine Church Reseda at 10am
Immediately following the service will be the burial at San Fernando Mission Cemetery
